Zurich, 29 March 2012. Headquartered in Boudry (Switzerland), Cicor (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN), a leading high-technology industrial group internationally active in the printed circuit boards, microelectronics and electronic solutions industries, has recently secured new large orders. The orders have confirmed the operational progress made in the past year, and also demonstrate the strong foothold of the group in important key business segments. With available capacities in the European and Asian production market, Cicor is able to meet the needs of many international clients for a partner with a comprehensive technology and service portfolio with globally standardised certification and quality standards.
The ME Division (Cicor Microelectronics) has reported two new large orders with a total volume of EUR 5.4 million. The first agreement deals with a follow-up order for the production of highly specialised hybrids for position sensor systems. Production here includes manufacturing of the circuit boards, the complex micro-assembly of position sensors and magnetic field sensors and also testing. The second order deals with a framework agreement for the production of complete microelectronic modules in 2012 and 2013.
The Asia Division has significantly increased the production volumes from its existing cooperation with a leading manufacturer of top-of-the-range electronic products in the lifestyle and beauty sector. The increase in volume confirms the promising market potential of the product in the coming years. The order includes the complete box building phase, from procurement of the components through the tool-shop (production of plastic tools and injection moulds) right up to assembly of the circuit boards, testing and certification of the end product.
These large orders play a contribution in achieving the annual goal of an organic growth of between 7% and 9%.
