Zurich, 8 November 2012 – Cicor (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN), a high-tech industrial group and international leader in the fields of printed circuit boards, microelectronics and electronic solutions headquartered in Boudry (Switzerland), today announced that its Microelectronics Division has secured a major contract for the manufacture of sensor modules for industrial cameras.
The agreement covers the manufacture of around 10,000 modules and has a term of three years. The modules are to be manufactured by the Cicor Microelectronics Division at its Radeberg production site in Germany. The new contract represents a total volume of over EUR 3 million.
The new order highlights the innovative capacity and new dynamism in the Cicor Microelectronics Division. Under the leadership of Heinz Gloor, who took over as Head of the Division at the beginning of 2012, the Division’s structures have been adapted to meet market requirements and a regional sales organisation has been put in place. Thanks to the progress made in sales and technological advancements, the Division has won various new contracts and increased volume with existing customers.
