PCB Assembly
Cicor Newport offers high-precision PCB assembly services tailored for high-mix, low- to mid-volume production in regulated markets. With three high-capacity SMT lines and advanced THT capabilities, we assemble a wide range of component types – from 0201 and flip chips to BGAs and other fine-pitch, complex packages – with consistently high yields and process stability.
Our fully automated production lines include solder paste inspection (3D SPI), 3D AOI, reflow soldering, selective and wave soldering, as well as CNC milling and wheel cutting for depanelisation. Programming of integrated circuits, conformal coating, and full traceability of production steps, component batches and test data ensure total process control from start to finish.
Cicor Newport is AS9100 certified and working in conjunction with IPC-A-610, delivering reliable PCB assemblies that meet the highest industry standards for aerospace, defence, healthcare and industrial applications.
Box Building
Cicor Newport provides comprehensive box building and system assembly services, supporting everything from device-level builds to fully integrated electronic systems. Our experienced teams manage mechanical and electrical integration, final testing, marking and labelling, and customised packaging – all within dedicated assembly lines and flexible production cells.
Coating, potting and bonding processes are performed in-house, ensuring environmental protection and long-term product durability. Functional, environmental and burn-in tests are integrated into the workflow to verify performance and compliance with demanding customer specifications.

Test Engineering
Cicor Newport provides comprehensive test engineering services to ensure product functionality, reliability and compliance across the entire lifecycle. We design and implement customer-specific test strategies using a wide range of methods – including in-circuit test, flying probe, functional test, automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray, and boundary and frame scan.
Our in-house teams design and manufacture bespoke test hardware, set up and programme test systems, and integrate them directly into the production process. We also support Design for Test (DFT) and offer electronics and mechanical design input during development phases.
Environmental testing is an integral part of our offering, with full capabilities for burn-in, thermal and climatic testing to validate performance under extreme conditions. Combined with advanced traceability and quality data management, Cicor Newport ensures test coverage that meets the highest industry standards – from initial prototypes to full production.
