Mechanical Assembler
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings to ensure accurate builds.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies for proper operation and quality compliance.
- Identify and report defective materials or components to supervisors.
- Maintain production documentation and update work orders as required.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly or design issues.
- Perform rework or adjustments as needed to meet quality and functionality standards.
Person Specification
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
- Skilled in using various hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
