Questions & Answers
As a global running event organized by the Wings for Life Foundation, the Wings for Life World Run is the largest event of its kind. Its primary goal is to fund spinal cord research by donating every cent raised from the event. I love that our participation not only promotes health and team spirit but also contributes to a cause that helps improve people’s lives worldwide. Learn more about the event on the Wings for Life World Run website.
Every Cicor employee is welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or even prefer a more relaxed pace, your participation matters. The event is designed so that everyone, regardless of fitness level, can take part and feel proud of their contribution.
Unlike traditional races with fixed distances, this event uses a moving finish line, known as the Catcher Car. You control your own pace and distance - when the Catcher Car catches up to you, the race ends for you. This format means you’re racing against yourself, making it a personal challenge rather than a head-to-head competition. Learn more about the race format on the Wings for Life World Run website.

There’s absolutely no cost for you. Cicor is sponsoring the event by covering the entry fee for every employee. This means you can focus solely on enjoying the run and supporting a noble cause without worrying about registration fees.
The event is set for Sunday, 4 May 2025. What’s exciting is that you can participate from virtually anywhere using your smartphone. While you can run individually, many sites are also organizing local gatherings, so you have the option to join your colleagues in person if you prefer.
On 4 May 2025, you simply join the run using your smartphone and the Wings for Life App. The app synchronizes the start time with all participants globally. Whether you’re running, walking, or even using a wheelchair, the event is all about personal achievement and contributing to a shared goal.
