Manufacturing engineer – Wire Harness Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
- Set up the wire harness lines (layout, workflow, equipment selection)
- Define and implement manufacturing processes: cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, shielding, over-molding, assembly, form board assembly and testing.
- Develop production documentation: process sheets, time sheets, work instructions, BOMs
- Identify raw material and suppliers (wires, terminals, connectors, accessories)
- Follow quality management system based on various standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485)
- Work closely with company leadership on operational planning, capacity, quoting and training
Person Specification
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production and process engineering within the wire harness assembly industry
- Strong knowledge of core processes: cutting, stripping, soldering, crimping, shielding, over-molding, manual and semi-automated assembly; electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing.
- Familiarity with quality standards: ISO 9001 and at least one of: AS9100 (aeronautical), ISO 13485 (medical)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with relevant CAD and ERP software systems
- Experience with setting up or restructuring a production line
- English — technical proficiency
- Existing network of industry contacts (suppliers, technical specialists)
