Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots equipment issues to determine air, hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical solutions.
- Performs needed repairs or maintenance in accordance with blueprints, manuals, building codes or other accepted quality work practices.
- Develops and performs preventative maintenance of machines and equipment to prevent future and reoccurring issues.
- Performs minor repair of all buildings and equipment. (Supervises major repairs by licensed contractors.).
- Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
- Completes projects assigned, such as equipment reworks, fabrication, repair, and design improvements.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Mentors and trains other employees on intermediate preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assures all departments comply w/ all written health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Provides maintenance and safety records to supervisor when requested.
- Perform job rotations during scheduled workday depending on production needs.
Person Specification
- Ability to climb ladders and work effectively at heights of ten (15) feet
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to carry out duties with minimum daily supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend, evening and holiday work required
- Tow Motor certification
- Basic computer skills required
