It is involved in ground-breaking developments, one example of which is an intraocular pressure sensor implant made by German company Implandata Opthalmic Products GmbH that is designed to provide continuous monitoring of intraocular pressure in those suffering from glaucoma. Cicor produces a flexible coil antenna for this implant.

“Medical Technology Innovation” awards have been given in the fields of electronics, adhesives and surface technology in recognition of the services provided by medical technology companies, their suppliers and the many people working behind the scenes, such as engineers, scientists, designers and clinicians, who make a key contribution to the development and manufacture of innovative products.
