Zurich, March 5, 2015 – Cicor (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN), a leading, international high-tech industrial group in the field of circuit boards, microelectronics and electronic solutions based in Boudry (Switzerland), announced that Antoine Kohler is stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cicor Technologies Ltd. when his term of office expires. In addition, Hans Knöpfel will not stand for re-election for another term to the Board of Directors and will step down at the Annual General Meeting in April 2015. The Board of Directors has proposed the current Vice Chairman, Heinrich J. Essing, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. All other members of the Board of Directors will stand for re-election for another term of office. In addition, the Board of Directors recommends that Erich Haefeli be elected to the Board.
The Board of Directors and the Group Management of Cicor would like to thank Antoine Kohler and Hans Knöpfel for their valuable contribution to the company and wish them all the best for the future.
Together with Heinrich J. Essing, the other members of the Board of Directors, Robert Demuth and Andreas Dill, will stand for re-election for another term of office.
The Board of Directors is proposing to shareholders that Erich Haefeli be elected as a new member to the Board. Erich Haefeli (born in 1950, a Swiss national) studied law at the University of Zurich. For many years he headed the legal and patent department of OC Oerlikon Balzers AG and was also a member of the company's Executive Management. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of many firms in the Oerlikon-Bührle Group, which is today the industrial group Oerlikon. With his many years of experience in legal issues and his vast knowledge of corporate governance, M&A, contracting and risk management, Haefeli will be a valuable addition to the Board of Directors.
Following the election to the Board of Erich Haefeli and the re-election of the current members, the Board of Directors of the Cicor Group will comprise four members. Three of these members (Andreas Dill, Robert Demuth and Erich Haefeli) are independent and one (Heinrich J. Essing) represents the current largest shareholder, HEB Swiss Investment AG.
