Position Overview:

The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring incoming components and products meet ERP, industry, and customer-specific standards. This position involves detailed inspections, documentation, and reporting to maintain high-quality standards and seamless production workflows. This role demands attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming components and product against ERP, industry, and customer specific requirements.
  • Basic dimensional verification of product using various measuring devices
  • Checking of traceability requirements and documentation
  • Checking and inputting of product shelf life
  • Checking chemicals for compliance, shelf life, and CofC documentation
  • Use of electronic measurement equipment to determine compliance against customer drawings.
  • Raising and maintaining quality documentation
  • Raising defect reports for non-conforming product
  • Lisasing with purchasing to obtain RMA for non-conforming product
  • Working to tight deadlines to ensure continuous supply to production demand
  • Maintaining the defect database
  • First off inspection

Competency

  • A minimum of 5 Grade C+ GCSE’s
  • Good Communication skills, both verbally, and written
  • Good interpersonal/ relationship building skills
  • Good understanding of components and product, electrical and mechanical
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Numerate
  • Ability to show proactiveness rather than reactiveness

Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities – DESIRABLE

  • Ability to work in team orientated environment but also being able to demonstrate results working independently.
  • Basic understanding of electronic manufacturing.
  • Previous inspection experience or similar quality role
  • PCB inspection qualified
