Internal Account Manager
Primary Job Purpose:
The Internal Account Manager (IAM) serves as the main point of contact for the customer/s, overseeing all operational and financial aspects of assigned customer accounts, including costs, pricing, profitability, working capital, and customer service. Collaborating closely with the Head of Programmes, the IAM works to expand business opportunities with the customer’s, fostering growth and enhancing relationships.
Requirements of the role
Growth
- Lead their customer focused team (8-12 people) with clarity and compassion, fostering exceptional customer service to drive both short-term wins and long-term growth opportunities.
- Utilize our suite of account management tools, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
- Nurture meaningful and lasting customer relationships, prioritizing a holistic approach to customer satisfaction and striving for consistently high NPS (Net Promoter Score) ratings.
- Continuously deepen your understanding of our customers, Cicor Newport, and the industry landscape to deliver genuine and sustainable value to our clients.
Financial Management
- Support the maintenance of high levels of gross margin and operating profit, prioritizing financial stability and growth.
- Ensure all Cicor systems (EFACS, CRM, etc.) are kept up-to-date with the latest standards.
- Provide accurate and timely financial forecasting for revenue, order intake, and order book, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning efforts.
Working Capital & Risk
- Take ownership of collecting accounts receivables within agreed-upon terms, maintaining healthy cash flow.
- Promptly address excess and obsolete material claims
- Take charge of resolving customer pricing discrepancies promptly and accurately, ensuring fair and transparent transactions.
- Maintain and execute customer contracts (MSA, MEPA) diligently, mitigating risks for Cicor Newport and fostering trust and stability in relationships.
Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer operational relationships, focusing on ensuring satisfaction, resolving issues, and managing escalations effectively.
- Collaborate with teams across Cicor to ensure exceptional operational execution, meeting organisational KPI’s.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, with the appropriate cadence including quarterly business reviews, fostering open communication and alignment.
Reporting
- Utilize standardized tools and processes to provide regular reports to the Cicor management team on customer and account status.
- Contribute to monthly SIOP meetings and the annual strategic/budget planning process.

Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities – CORE
Experience:
- Proficiency in leading cross functional teams in manufacturing
Language Ability:
- Ability to comprehend and analyze periodicals, business reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Skill in effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from leadership teams, managers, customers, and colleagues.
Reasoning Ability:
- Skill in gathering data, solving practical problems, and addressing a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, slide presentations, email, and business systems software (CRM, ERP).
Work Environment and Travel:
- The role will be based at our Newport site, with some remote work possible.
- Ability to self-supervise and manage time commitments effectively.
- Travel within the UK and internationally may be required to fulfill job responsibilities, this is not extensive, 1 or 2 days a month.
Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities – DESIRABLE
Desirable Experience:
- Proven track record in project management, demonstrating direct or indirect leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Related qualifications and familiarity with relevant tools are advantageous.
- Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing operations environment, with knowledge of operational methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and systems is beneficial.
- Proficiency in IT and a deep understanding of systems like ERP and CRM, enabling efficient utilization and optimization of these tools.
