Your Role/Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements and translate them into board-level architecture, circuit concepts, and schematic designs.
- Develop, validate, and commission analog and digital circuit blocks, including but not limited to Analog Front End, MCU, Battery Management System, Battery Charger, Fuel-Gauge.
- Contribute to the development of electronic systems for applications such as health-tracking devices, optical PPG systems, IVD devices and IoT base stations using BLE/LTE/Wi-Fi wireless technologies, and implantable medical devices using MICS communication technology.
- Schematic design and review, component selection, and circuit prototyping
- Carry out PCB layout design activities.
- Develop test system designs for product PCBAs, covering control boards, rack equipment selection, setup, BOM definition, test procedures, verification, and validation activities.
- Perform prototype bring-up, debugging, electrical testing, and iterative design refinements.
- Document design, development, testing, verification, and validation activities in accordance with applicable medical device regulations and standards, including ISO 13485, CE MDR 2017/745, and IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical investigations to identify and evaluate possible implementations for customer and product requirements.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, quality, regulatory, production, and project management teams.
- Build trust-based relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal development teams.
Essential Qualities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications and IT, Automation, or a related technical field.
- Proven ability in electronic design, with at least 3 years of experience in analog and digital electronics design.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, preferably Altium Designer.
- Experience with PCB technologies including rigid, flex, and rigid-flex designs.
- Experience with Gerber/data verification and DFM review tools, such as GerbTool or equivalent.
- Experience with circuit simulation tools, such as LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent.
- Hands-on laboratory debugging and measurement skills using multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, and vector network analyzers (optional).
- Good understanding of component selection, datasheet analysis, circuit validation.
- Experience with board bring-up, debugging, validation, and design verification testing.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI design practices and PCB layout guidelines.
- Knowledge of ESD protection principles and best practices
- Ability to document design decisions, test results, and verification activities in a structured and traceable manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international, cross-functional engineering team.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience working in regulated development environments, preferably medical devices.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, risk management, and design verification processes is considered an advantage.
- Experience with hardware development for low power applications.
- A genuine fascination for Electronics.
