The Cicor site in Wangs specializes in the manufacture of thin-film circuits on rigid and flexible substrates and has extensive manufacturing expertise in this field. Manufacturing takes place in a clean room using microelectronic manufacturing processes such as lithography, sputtering, evaporation, etching, electroplating and passive resistance matching. Other machining operations include laser drilling of holes, laser contouring, and sawing as a separation step from multiprocess to chip. Production and processes are designed for maximum flexibility to meet special requirements for substrate materials and process combinations. The site manufactures thin film circuits on a wide variety of substrate materials (Al₂O₃, AlN, LCP, polyimide, ferrites, glass, sapphire, quartz ect.) in prototype and series production.
