The Cicor site in Ulm specializes in the manufacture of thin film circuits on rigid and flexible substrates, the development of new processes, the evaluation of new materials for thin film technology and has extensive development expertise in this field. Manufacturing is performed in a clean room environment using microelectronic manufacturing processes such as lithography, sputtering, etching, electroplating and machining. Production and processes are designed for maximum flexibility to meet specific requirements for substrate materials and process combinations. The site manufactures thin film circuit substrates on a wide variety of substrate materials (Al2O3, AlN, LCP, polyimide, ferrite, glass, sapphire, quartz, etc.) in prototype and volume production.
