Senior Software Engineer
As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be a part of a team that guides the software through all phases of the software development process, including requirements definition, architecture and design, implementation, prototyping and debugging, unit testing, integration, verification and continuous issue tracking.
During all the design stages there is a strong collaboration with the hardware team to debug, optimize and ensure the implementation of the optimal solution in both technical and timely manner.

What you’ll do
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, design, coding, and verification
- Code in C/C++ efficient embedded firmware
- Debug low level hardware interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, PWM, GPIO, etc)
- Provide input/feedback for the accompanying hardware from prototype to commercial transfer
Your Essential Qualities
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Familiar with the microcontrollers and microprocessors such as ARM Application and Cortex architecture
- Proficiency with debug tools such as logic/protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Experience with software management tools such as GitLab, and issue management systems
- An ability to assimilate new knowledge and information, and to learn and use new skills. A willingness to learn and try new things that you may have previously considered out of your field
Your Desired Qualities
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management tools
- Scripting language knowledge (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl)
- Knowledge of the Yocto, Buildroot distribution building environment;
- Good knowledge of electronics fundamentals and the ability to read schematics
- Experience developing Software for a Medical Device (i.e. familiarity IEC 62304) or within another highly regulated, safety critical industry
- A true sense of determination and hopefully a sense of humor
